Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.

Let's celebrate!

Help celebrate 50 years of playgroups in Tasmania ...

by sharing your stories with us

In 2023, Tasmania celebrates 50 years of playgroups in our state!

Playgroups are so much more than cups of tea and play dough; they’re where Tasmanian families make connections, share the highs and lows of raising children and support each other in ways that strengthen our communities.

As part of the celebrations, we're collecting your stories and memories of playgroups. Whether you are a parent, grandparent or carer, or a child who has had a special experience at playgroup, we'd love to hear from you.

Please fill out the form below and share your memories and experiences of playgroups. If you prefer, you can make a short video to tell your story and upload it to the form.

"The best part of playgroup for me, is the face-to-face connection and conversation with other adults and, of course, I also enjoy seeing my two-year-old socialising well."
