Family and caregiver registration

Playgroup Tasmania registration is free for parents and caregivers.

Attending playgroup is even easier once you've registered.

Family Registration - FREE

Family registration gives you access to the statewide family of more than 40 community playgroups.

Family registration is FREE. Please complete the registration form and we will send you a welcome email.

Register your playgroup

Playgroup registration is renewed annually from 1 January each year.

When you register your playgroup with Playgroup Tasmania

  • you connect with our network of playgroups around the state.
  • your group is promoted and easily found through our Find a Playgroup

Registration is for the calendar year and is currently FREE.

Community Playgroup Membership - FREE

Community Playgroups:

  • are run by parent participants and volunteers
  • reinvest any money/fees received by the group into the playgroup and its activities.

Registration benefits

  • Comprehensive contents, public liability, and volunteer insurance (including accident and injury)  
  • Support from Playgroup Tasmania staff for starting and managing your playgroup, fundraising concepts and ideas for play activities.
  • Promotion of your group through Playgroup Tasmania’s Find a Playgroup and Facebook pages
  • Free advertising material for your playgroup 
  • Access to training to support skills development and capacity building 
  • Support to write grants and auspicing arrangements so the playgroup can receive grant funds
  • Access to member-only Facebook groups where playgroup leaders can swap ideas and support and help each other .
Organisation Playgroup Membership - FREE

Organisation Playgroups are:

  • supported by a not for profit or government organisation other than Playgroup Tasmania, which includes insurance
  • may have a dedicated paid or volunteer playgroup facilitator.

  • Promotion and listing on Playgroup Tasmania’s Find a Playgroup page
  • Support to hold open days and events
  • Support from Playgroup Tasmania staff for starting and managing your playgroup, fundraising concepts and ideas for play activities.
