Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.
We are organising “My Rights, My Art”, a half-day creative workshop for children aged 4–12 in Glenorchy during Children’s Week. The event will include art activities where children learn about their rights and express them through drawings and posters. Fun games, a mini talent stage, and healthy snacks will create an inclusive and joyful environment. Each child will receive a take-home pack with educational resources. This project supports children’s social and emotional wellbeing by encouraging self-expression, awareness of their rights, and a sense of belonging in the community.
