Playgroup Tasmania is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children. Everyone has a role to play in keeping children safe from harm and creating child safe and child friendly communities.
Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.
Join PlayConnect+ and Baptcare, a NDIS Partner in the Community, for a relaxed and engaging play session during Children’s Week 2026. This year’s theme is “Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion”, and we’re celebrating with fun, hands-on activities for children with disabilities or developmental delays, from birth to age five, and their families.
Children can get creative with badge-making and art, contribute to a Rights Collage or Story Wall, and enjoy music, movement and group games. There’ll also be quiet spaces with sensory play for those who need a break, plus role-play, interactive storytelling and snack preparation to support learning through play.
Baptcare’s Early Childhood Partners will be available to chat about the NDIS and how they can support your family. Come along to explore, connect and celebrate children’s rights in a safe and welcoming environment.
