Playgroup Tasmania is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children. Everyone has a role to play in keeping children safe from harm and creating child safe and child friendly communities.
Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.
Enjoy a special Teddy Bear Hunt supported by Playgroup Tasmania, Connected Beginnings Lutruwita, a program of The Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre. Visit the Teddy Bear Weigh Station with the Child and Parenting Health Service (CHaPS) Tasmania and bring along a picnic or some snacks! This event will bring children and families together through play, with this year’s hunt having a special focus on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and celebrating Children’s Rights.
This is a weather-dependent event. Please come prepared for Tasmania’s changing weather with a hat, raincoat and suitable clothing. Keep an eye on Playgroup Tasmania’s social media for any weather-related updates or changes.
