Join Playgroup Tasmania at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens for our special Children’s Week Teddy Bear Hunt!

Our annual Teddy Bear Hunt is back for Children’s Week 2026! 🧸🌿 This much-loved event will once again bring children and families together through play, with this year’s hunt having a special focus on the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and celebrating Children’s Rights.

🐻 Search the Gardens for our hidden teddy bears
🌈 Enjoy a special play space supported by Thrive
⚖️ Visit the Teddy Bear Weigh Station with the Child and Parenting Health Service (CHaPS) Tasmania
🧺 Bring along a picnic or some snacks and make a day of it!

Can’t make it during the day?
Our teddy bears will stay in their hiding spots overnight on Tuesday 27 October, giving families and school-aged children another chance to visit and hunt for them after school.

🌦️ This is a weather-dependent event. Please come prepared for Tasmania’s changing weather with a hat, raincoat and suitable clothing. Keep an eye on Playgroup Tasmania’s social media for any weather-related updates or changes.
