Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.
Jeddah worked as an Education Support Officer in southern Tasmania before she joined Playgroup Tasmania. In this role, she worked directly with children in classrooms and their families, helping them to navigate our state’s education system.
In her Playgroup Tasmania role, she enjoys creating welcoming spaces where families feel comfortable and supported.
Jeddah is especially passionate about helping caregivers connect with others, build confidence and access support for their children.
Her favourite aspect of playgroups is the way they create a sense of community for the families who attend and give children and caregivers opportunities to build meaningful connections in a playful environment.
"I volunteer at playgroup to give my children a fun place to socialise and to share information with parents and carers on the importance of play for children."
