Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa/pakana people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.

Playgroup Development Worker North

Bec has gained extensive experience working with children and families. She is passionate about empowering families, engaging stakeholders, and establishing partnership opportunities.

Bec’s role includes supporting families at PlayConnect and supporting and empowering families in local communities to develop their own community playgroups, giving Tasmanian families choice and ownership over their playgroup options.

Bec enjoys seeing the growth and development of both the playgroups, families and children she works with and she is motivated to inspire Tasmanians to learn about the importance of playgroups.

"My children are learning not to throw sand on people, how to share toys, how to be mindful of others when using toys and how to make friends."
