Playgroup Tasmania is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children. We have zero tolerance for abuse and promote a shared responsibility to protect children from harm. We uphold children's rights and comply with relevant child safety laws and standards.
PlayConnect+ playgroups
Children with behavioural issues and their families can sometimes feel excluded from traditional playgroups.
All children are welcome at PlayConnect+, and it is a safe, low stimulus, non-judgemental environment designed to cater to children with a disability and/or developmental concerns.
PlayConnect+ is a facilitated, supported playgroup for children with a disability and/or developmental concerns and their families. (Great news! A diagnosis is not necessary).
PlayConnect+ program is FREE and includes:
- Face-to-face weekly, one and a half to two-hour supported playgroups.
- Facilitation of transitions to other educational settings to support school readiness.
- Holistic family support including information and advice about other disability support services that we have established partnerships with.
- It is a free playgroup and all family members including siblings with or without a disability and/or developmental concerns are welcome.
- PlayConnect+ playgroups provide support, social interaction and skills and techniques to try at home.
PlayConnect+ ensures that young children have access to consistent, high quality social engagement on a regular basis.
