Playgroup Tasmania is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children. Everyone has a role to play in keeping children safe from harm and creating child safe and child friendly communities.

Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.

Celebrating National Children’s Week

There is nothing more important than ensuring our children and young people are learning, safe and thriving every day.

Each year, we celebrate National Children’s Week to reinforce that important message.

There are so many wonderful opportunities for children and families to get involved in, including at free activities and events around Tasmania.

We’ll see activities like messy play, arts and crafts, teddy bear’s picnics, colouring competitions, story time and so much more.

I can’t thank Playgroup Tasmania enough for the outstanding work they do every single day to support our children and young people, and I encourage everyone to find out what is happening in your community and join in the fun.

Together, we can help to lift our children and young people up, celebrate their achievements, and help them to build the foundations they need to thrive.
