Playgroup Tasmania is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children. Everyone has a role to play in keeping children safe from harm and creating child safe and child friendly communities.
Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.
Join Nicky at Create Do & Mend for a special Children’s Week art workshop celebrating what makes each child unique. Young artists will explore their stories through colour, words, patterns, drawing, painting and mixed media. Each child will create a canvas that becomes part of a larger collaborative artwork, bringing together different voices under the theme “One Community, One River”. The finished artwork will be displayed at the artHouse New Norfolk for family and friends to enjoy.
Tuesday 27 October 2026, 3–4.45pm, at Create Do & Mend, High Street. Afternoon tea included. Bookings essential—limited to 10 young artists.
This event is supported by the Tasmanian Government through the Children's Week Small Grants Assessments.
