Playgroup Tasmania is committed to promoting and protecting the safety and wellbeing of all children. Everyone has a role to play in keeping children safe from harm and creating child safe and child friendly communities.
Playgroup Tasmania acknowledges that we live, work and play on Aboriginal land, land of the palawa people of lutruwita (Tasmania). We pay our respects to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community, to elders past and present and to all those who continue caring for country, sharing stories and upholding rights.
Kids & Teens in the Valley will join Karadi at Fairview Primary School for a special cultural lunch celebrating Children’s Week. This whole-school celebration will bring the school community together to celebrate First Nations culture, food and language. It is an opportunity for children to learn, connect and celebrate together, reflecting this year’s Children’s Week theme recognising children’s right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practise their religion.
The cultural lunch will take place at Fairview Primary School on Friday 30 October 2026.
This event is supported by the Tasmanian Government through the Children's Week Small Grants Assessments.
